About the event

Join us for an insightful and engaging webinar designed for co-op housing members interested in exploring the intersection of community gardening as a tool for strengthening diversity and building inclusive communities. In this session, we’ll dive into how community gardens can serve as vibrant hubs for cultural exchange, social interaction, and collective growth within co-op housing communities. Additionally, community gardens can contribute to sustainable use of land, provide educational opportunities to members about growing their own food, and help address food insecurity among co-op members. This webinar will feature Cathy Gallagher-Louisy from Eamon Park Housing Co-op, recipient of the Greener Co-op Microgrant, who will share her experience applying for the grant and engaging the community at Eamon Park to plan and build raised garden beds, as well as planting, maintenance and sharing the harvest with co-op members.
